BABY SUNSCREEN PACKAGIN DESIGN
OVERVIEW
Sunni is a product line of skin care products made to protect a baby’s sensitive skin from the adverse effects of the sun. The design direction is soft and approachable with bright colors which embody the warm feeling of sun on your skin.
DEMOGRAPHIC
Sunni is high quality sunscreen using natural ingredients. The brand appeals to those keen to purchase a premium product to ensure that they aren’t exposing their child to anything harmful.
DIE-LINES
Each product container is packaged in its own box. These feature a window cutout for the sunscreen stick as well as folding internal construction with a circular cutout to keep the tube of sunscreen secure.
PROCESS
Prototypes were made by sanding and priming plain plastic containers. Using vinyl stencils, multiple layers of custom mixed paint were applied.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
This was a great opportunity to use the knowledge I acquired from years of painting for something other than game controllers. Stylistically, this differs from the typical look and feel of my other projects. Its success gave me affirmation of my stylistic range.
